Triomphe zet zijn roots in perspectief in samenwerking met Tim Wes, het Wereldmuseum en Grande Loge.
Wereldmuseum x Grand Loge present a series of autonomous video works by a selection of Rotterdam-based multi-disciplinary creators and performers. For the micro-documentary items these creators were invited to the Wereldmuseum Depot to find, or rather feel, inspiration within the theme of roots and rituals.
The ninth episode of the ten-part series is a collaboration between Triomphe and Tim Wes. Triomphe was inspired for the writing of “Feel Alive” inspired by the dual energy he felt when visiting the Africansection of the World Museum Depot. The Rotterdam-based maker puts the “intangible line” between him and his African-European roots (Mozambique) into perspective. In the music video he refers in the film to finding serenity in the turmoil of the contrasting worlds that shaped him as a human being a pioneer of the new world.
