Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen announced a new blockbuster mid 2018. This time their light was shed on the 100th jubileum celebration of one of the most iconic and influential institutes this world has ever known. We are talking about Bauhaus.
T&D travelled to Dessau, the place where the art school gained its international acclaimed name, and brought documentary photographer Stacii Samidin along to document a short introduction serie. This part of the campaign was essential for us to educate a target market that had probably never heard of Bauhaus before.
One of Boijmans’ wishes was to showcase the still existing relevance of Bauhaus principles and its influence on modern day working processes. To cover the latter and to show its impact in the Netherlands, we added a three-part interview series to the project. Our team sat down with the Bauhaus influenced and international respected founder of the architectural firm Mecanoo, a student of the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten and the founders of the Amsterdam based Studio Thonik.
