Boijmans Ahoy Drive-thru Museum

Boijmans van Beuningen & Rotterdam Ahoy

Boijmans Ahoy Drive-thru Museum was created as a reaction to the 1.5 meter society. A drive-thru exhibition in Rotterdam Ahoy, filled with fifty works of art from the collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. The approach of the expo is to investigate the boundaries between being human and the forces of nature. From within the safety of your own car, but once driving through the exhibition there’s only one direction; forward.
“As insignificant and small as a virus is, such is the confusion it causes. Everything stops for a moment, touches us in our vulnerability and shows us the limits of existence. “

From the works of documentary-photographer Stacii Samidin we have created a series of three videos, that offer an immersive experience into the exhibition. The musical compositions are characterized by an emphasis on timbre and rhythm, and guide you through the world of nature vs. culture. Sharpen your senses and dive into this disrupted reality with us.
