Kweektuin w/ Gaidaa, Cero Ismael, Kaya Imani & Ju-lia at Laurenskerk
On May 26, we launched an exciting new initiative in partnership with the Breda-based collective Bank15: Kweektuin. As the name suggests, Kweektuin was created to nurture emerging talent — in this case, musicians — by providing them the same opportunities and platform as more established artists. Our goal is to connect, inspire, and enrich the creative community. After all, every renowned artist once started small and needed that crucial first step. Through all our efforts, we aim to serve as a catalyst for creativity and an incubator for the next generation of artists.
We kicked off our first event at the iconic Laurenskerk, where none other than Gaidaa took the stage alongside Europe's largest organ, captivating the audience. The evening began with stunning performances by Cero Ismael, JU-LIA, and Kaya Imani, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable night. It was a rich celebration of talent at one of Rotterdam’s most historic venues.
The main organ of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam was built by the firm Marcussen & Søn from Denmark. The organ is 23 meters high, has four manuals, 85 stops and 7600 pipes. It is the largest organ in the Netherlands and the largest church organ with mechanical action in Europe. To have the live shows accompanied by Hayo Boerema on this special organ is something you can call us for any time of the year. Proud to have realised this dream with an amazingly dedicated team.
