NDSM Vrijhaven 2022
For the NDSM Vrijhaven 2022 project, Together & Dedicated provided creative and strategic assistance, focusing on the overall conceptualization and production of campaign materials, including video assets, posters and physical signage for the festival itself. Our goal was to attract new audiences while honoring the traditional visitors. We collaborated with key local creators and entrepreneurs, who shape the cultural landscape of Amsterdam-Noord, to tell compelling stories that resonate throughout the community. As we developed the campaign, we aimed to evoke a euphoric collective spirit, especially on special occasions like King’s Day. Each element of the campaign was crafted to be interconnected, enhancing the overall narrative.
We embraced the vibrant essence of the NDSM-Werf for the Vrijhaven campaign, inviting audiences to draw inspiration from its unique urban environment and diverse narratives. Our approach combines innovative design with a playful tone, creating a visually striking poster that balances minimalism, figuration, and abstraction.
By integrating digital elements from the NDSM site with an engaging mix of font types and minimal informational references, we crafted a collage that represents the various layers within the Vrijhaven community. This design symbolizes the cohesion fostered by the coming together of different groups, ages, and genres, particularly on festive occasions like King’s Day, which inspire hope and joy.
Our creative work aims to capture the zeitgeist of today, evoking feelings of joy, enlightenment, progressiveness, and celebration. While orange will subtly accent the design, the focus will remain on creating a compelling first impression that resonates with viewers.
